INTRODUCTION
Kevin Trindade, artistically known as KENN, is a professional DJ and electronic music producer from Uruguay. Renowned for his distinctive style, he blends powerful basslines with deep harmonic melodies to deliver cinematic and emotional journeys—defined by raw energy, intensity, and passion.
Influenced by High-Tech Minimal and Melodic Techno, KENN has crafted a sound that pushes the boundaries of electronic music while creating a deep and lasting connection with the audience. Each performance is designed as an immersive experience, where movement, emotion, and freedom become part of the music itself.
In 2022, KENN founded his own label, FCKNG SOUND, solidifying his artistic vision and expanding his presence within the global electronic music scene.
EARLY YEARS
Kevin Trindade was born on September 4, 1999, in Melo, Cerro Largo, a small city in the interior of Uruguay. From an early age, he has been known as Ken, a loving nickname that would later shape his artistic identity.
From a young age, he showed a natural curiosity for music, art, and body expression. He felt especially drawn to percussion instruments such as the drums and the tamboril—a fundamental element of Uruguayan candombe—and also participated in activities related to acting, taking his first steps into performance and stage movement.
Inspired by his father’s musical taste, Kevin frequently listened to the music playing on old cassette tapes and CDs, awakening in him a fascination for experimental sounds and emotional atmospheres. In 2009, he came into contact with electronic music—popularly known at the time as “marcha”—and discovered that he could share this interest with his friends. Around that period, a cultural phenomenon called Floggers emerged, a movement closely linked to electronic music. Although Kevin was not part of it, he observed his classmates dancing and listening to that style, further reinforcing his curiosity.
Later on, he began listening to EDM, which sparked a desire to produce music and perhaps become a DJ one day under his real name, Kevin Trindade. However, this idea was temporary, as his creative interests at the time were more connected to the audiovisual world, dreaming of making music videos or visual projects.
In 2018, after completing his secondary studies, Kevin moved to Montevideo to study Nutrition at the University of the Republic. That same year, a friend invited him to his first electronic music party. At first, he hesitated to attend, as it was something new and that earlier idea seemed to have faded. However, upon arriving, he encountered a space defined by freedom, respect, and the absence of prejudice. That experience had a profound impact on him and became a turning point: it was there that his decision to begin his journey as a DJ was born, driven by the desire to transmit that same energy and connection through music.
When choosing his artistic name, his friends influenced him to add an extra N to his nickname, giving birth to KENN and reinforcing his distinctive character.

2018-2019: The First Steps
In 2018, Kevin Trindade took his first steps as a DJ, making his debut at Lago Merín Fest, an event held on the border between Uruguay and Brazil. This first performance marked the beginning of his artistic journey and left a strong impression on the audience, opening the door to his early international projection.
Motivated by curiosity and a constant desire to evolve, Kevin became interested in music production shortly after his debut. During this period, he discovered Ableton Live, a pivotal tool that allowed him to explore his creativity and bring his first original productions to life. From the very beginning, his focus was clear: to develop an authentic and distinctive sound that would set him apart within the electronic music scene, driven by the need to build an artistic identity that truly represented him.
2020-2021: The Pandemic Years
During the COVID-19 pandemic, while live events were on hold, KENN fully dedicated himself to refining his music production and consolidating his artistic identity. This period proved to be fundamental in shaping the sound that defines him today—deeply influenced by High-Tech Minimal and Minimal Techno, and characterized by hypnotic melodies, dark atmospheres, and a strong emotional charge.
Despite the restrictions, KENN continued performing at underground house parties, which at the time were held clandestinely. These intimate gatherings not only allowed him to keep his connection with music alive, but also strengthened his ability to read the crowd and adapt to any environment, further solidifying his presence as a performer.
2022: FCKNG SOUND and First Releases
In 2022, KENN founded his own record label, FCKNG SOUND, marking a decisive step in consolidating his artistic vision. Through the label, he released his first singles, Photosynthesis (2022), Blond Butterfly (2022), Viuda Negra (2022), followed by his debut album Eleven Rose (2022).
These early releases stood out for their unconventional approach and distinctive sonic identity, quickly positioning KENN as an emerging and innovative artist within the electronic music scene.
2023: The Big Project
The year 2023 marked a major turning point in KENN’s career. He began working on an ambitious, narrative-driven project inspired by cinematic concepts and visual storytelling.
As part of this vision, he produced more than 12 original tracks for his live set titled Los Iluminados – The Castle. The project gained thousands of organic views and generated a strong impact both musically and visually, solidifying KENN’s reputation as an artist who goes beyond DJing—using music to tell stories and create immersive experiences.
2024 – Present: International Recognition and Collaborations
In 2024, KENN embarked on his first South American tour, performing across Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina, achieving sold-out shows in several cities.
That same year, he released a series of standout productions, including Obsession (2024), the EP Destruction Protocol in collaboration with Japanese artist Kazuma Akasaki (2024), Barbie (2024), Darkade alongside Alejo Chaves (2024), and the hit remix Olvidarte (2024). The latter became one of the most played tracks of the summer in Argentina and Uruguay, particularly in Punta del Este, positioning itself as a regional anthem and remix of the season.
Throughout this period, KENN captured the attention of international artists and further established himself as one of the most intriguing rising figures in contemporary electronic music. His blend of sonic identity, innovation, and cinematic visual storytelling continues to define his steady ascent within the global electronic scene.
In 2025, he focused on the development of his EP Azkaban (2025), refining both his image and artistic essence. During this period, he embarked on a tour across Brazil and released a series of singles such as Dance or Die (2025), SHINE (2025), F1 (2025), among others.
