Kevin Trindade, artistically known as KENN, is a professional DJ and music producer from Uruguay. EARLY YEARS
Kevin Trindade, known from a young age as Ken —a loving nickname that would later become his artistic identity—, was born on September 4, 1999, in Melo, Cerro Largo, a small city in Uruguay.
From an early age, he showed a natural interest in music, art, and sports, with a particular curiosity for instruments such as the drums and the tamboril, a key element of candombe music. He also participated in activities related to acting, demonstrating an inclination towards performing arts.
His musical taste was inspired by his father, who often listened to classical and electronic genres, sparking in Kevin a fascination with innovative and experimental sounds. In 2009, at just 9 years old, Kevin and his schoolmates became familiar with a trend called “Floggers,” a movement tied to electronic music. This environment created an early connection between him and electronic music, as well as the culture surrounding it.
In 2018, after completing his secondary studies, Kevin moved to Montevideo to study Nutrition at the University of the Republic. That same year, a friend invited him to his first electronic music party, a place characterized by respect, freedom, and the absence of prejudice. This unique atmosphere deeply impacted him and inspired him to begin his journey as a DJ, determined to share that magical energy.

2018-2019: The First Steps
In 2018, Kevin Trindade took his first steps as a DJ, debuting at the Lago Merín Fest, an event held on the border between Uruguay and Brazil. This show marked the beginning of his career and left a positive impression on the audience, paving the way for his international projection.
Driven by his curiosity and desire to grow, Kevin became interested in music production after his first show. He discovered Ableton Live, a key software that allowed him to explore his creativity and bring his first productions to life. From the start, his focus was on developing an authentic sound that would set him apart from the rest.
2020-2021: The Pandemic
During the COVID-19 pandemic, while live events were on hold, KENN took the time to perfect his music production, dedicating himself entirely to his artistic development. It was during this period that he began to shape the style that characterizes him, marked by hypnotic melodies and dark atmospheres.
Additionally, KENN played at underground parties held in houses, with between 30 and 80 people attending. These intimate events not only allowed him to keep his connection to music alive but also strengthened his ability to read the crowd in any situation.
2022: Fckng Sound and His First Releases
In 2022, KENN founded his own record label, Fckng Sound, through which he released his first singles: Photosynthesis (2022), Blond Butterfly (2022), Viuda Negra (2022), and his debut album Eleven Rose (2022). These productions stood out for their unique and unconventional style, earning him recognition as an innovative artist within the electronic scene.
2023: The Big Project
The year 2023 marked a turning point in KENN’s career. He began working on an ambitious project inspired by cinematic and narrative concepts. He created more than 12 tracks for his live set titled Los Iluminados – The Castle, which gained thousands of organic views and made a great impact both visually and musically. This project solidified his reputation as an artist who not only mixes music but also tells stories through his art.
2024 – Present: International Recognition and Collaborations
In 2024, KENN went on his first South American tour, performing in Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina, where he achieved sold-out shows in several cities. That same year, he released a series of standout productions: Obsession (2024), the EP Destruction Protocol in collaboration with Japanese artist Kazuma Akasaki (2024), Barbie (2024), Darkade alongside Alejo Chaves (2024), and the hit single Olvidarte (2024), which became the remix of the summer in Uruguay, making waves in Punta del Este and positioning itself as one of the most played tracks in the region.
A year in which he caught the attention of international artists and solidified his status as one of the most intriguing figures in the current electronic scene. His blend of talent, innovation, and visual storytelling has made him a constantly rising figure in the industry.
