Kevin Trindade, known artistically as KENN, is a DJ and electronic music producer from Melo, Cerro Largo (Uruguay). Born in 1999, KENN developed a strong passion for music early on. Although he was not formally trained in instruments, he had a deep interest in acting and playing the tamboril, a traditional drum used in Uruguayan candombe. This passion, combined with his father’s influence, who introduced him to classical and electronic music, sparked KENN’s curiosity for innovative sounds. As a result, he began exploring genres like High-Tech Minimal, which would become key to shaping his artistic style.

In 2018, KENN moved to Montevideo to study Nutrition. During this time, he fully immersed himself in the city’s electronic music scene. Attending events inspired him to become a DJ, and he soon began creating his own music. His debut performance came at Lago Merín Fest, an event near the border with Brazil. His sound was well-received, paving the way for his international career.

KENN’s signature style is rooted in Dark Minimal Techno. His productions merge deep melodies with dark, powerful basslines, creating cinematic atmospheres. Among his standout releases are the album Eleven Rose and the track Obsession, which have gained a loyal following. Furthermore, his sets, such as the iconic Los Iluminados – The Castle, have garnered thousands of plays, further cementing his position in the scene.

KENN has released music on prestigious labels like Fckenn Sound, Trippy Code, and Volumetric, which has helped him gain increasing recognition in the industry. Additionally, he has built strong relationships with prominent artists like Black Hertz, with whom he has shared the stage multiple times. In addition, KENN has forged important connections with global electronic music figures such as Hozho, Deniz Bul, and Kazuma Akasaki, who have played significant roles in shaping his artistic journey through collaborative projects.

In 2024, KENN stood out as a finalist in the prestigious FCKNG SERIOUS competition, the label created by Boris Brejcha. This initiative by Reverb, which aims to discover and promote the most promising talents in the genre, allowed him to connect with renowned artists such as Ann Clue and Deniz Bul. This achievement marked a milestone in his career, solidifying his position as one of the most intriguing emerging figures in the Minimal Techno scene.

KENN is not just focused on music. With his own label, Fckenn Sound, he continues to push musical boundaries. Moreover, he designs his own visual art and has developed merchandise, reinforcing his identity as a multifaceted artist.

KENN continues to take his music across Latin America and beyond. His live sets, which combine explosive energy with emotional depth, ensure unforgettable moments for his audience. Thanks to his versatility and strength, KENN has solidified his place as a key figure in the global Dark Minimal Techno scene.
